Hey Action Productions grew out of a belief that the best content — regardless of whether it's a national documentary series or a brand film for a local business — comes from the same place: genuine curiosity about the subject, patience with the process, and craft in the execution.
I came up through both in-house and agency environments, which gave me an understanding of both sides of the production relationship. I know what it's like to be the client trying to get a brief understood, and I know what it takes to deliver on one. That dual perspective shapes how I work — I'm invested in your outcome, not just the production.
the documentary background
Documentary is where I started and where my instincts live. The skills that make a good documentary filmmaker — reading a situation, finding the story within the story, knowing when to shoot and when to wait, building the trust that makes subjects open up — translate directly into better corporate and commercial work. Clients who work with us tend to notice that the footage feels more real, more human, less staged.
